Quilt National ’19 Acceptance/Dairy Barn Arts Center, Athens, Ohio
October 10, 2018 by Daren RedmanI just learned of my acceptance into Quilt National ’19 with my quilt “Downtown Jazz”. My sister helped me name it after I showed it to her. She said it looked like jazz. Dave photographed it for me after working on it from Dec. 2017 to Sept. 1, 2018. We then cruised the Seine River from Paris to Normandy and came home and I have been waiting to hear the big news.
Now I need to borrow a spatula from Holly and Jane at the Dairy Barn Art Center to scrape myself off the ceiling. We were driving back from Bloomington and our 20th wedding anniversary lunch.
I called my friend Sonia Brown screaming. She said I could call her when I found out — screaming.
I can’t wait for the opening May 24-26, 2019.
My quilt from Quilt National ’17 sold. called “Indiana Flowers” 70 inches wide by 42 inches high.
