From Dye to Textile

The first step in the “Dye to Textile” story is creating the custom dye set needed to accurately represent the colors and textures of the experiences waiting to become infused in the fabric. 

Photographs, which capture the essence of life, are used for inspiration in creating the motifs and abstract compositions that will become the heart of the art, the design framework.

Afterwards, an application of surface designs or thread paint may be added as an enhancement, to emphasize the experiential aspect of the textile art.
