Indianapolis 500 “Welcome Race Fans” project

I am 1 of 5 artists for the 2019 Arts Council of Indianapolis “Welcome Race Fans” project. I will be creating an original art quilt that is 2 feet tall by 4 feet wide. Look for it on posters in May. Dave and I will attend the May 18 Qualification Day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

And after 120 hours, I have created a 24″ x 38″ art quilt with the words WELCOME RACE FANS and thread painted a 2018 Indy car. The whole process was inspired from reading Danica Patrick’s book “Pretty Intense”. And the Arts Council of Indianapolis made a vinyl image and placed it on the Artsgarden in downtown Indianapolis. So proud to be part of this community event. Thank you to Lindsey Lord and the Arts Council, Lauren and Connor at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Cameron, Dave and I will be at the track on May 18 and 19th for Qualification Weekend. See you there!
