I am Daren Pitts Redman, a contemporary textile artist dedicated to the tactile beauty of handcrafted textile art. My work is a dialogue between individuality and the modern art world,  where every stitch tells a story.

I am a tailor and seamstress for movies and television commercials. 

I was the tailor and seamstress for Lisa Smedley-Calderon on the WW 11 movie "The Ice Cream Man" directed by Robert Moniot and produced by Greg Malone. I assisted Lisa to fit, alter and dress over 90 actors/actresses' costumes set filmed in downtown Columbus, and Michigan City, Indiana. The Ice Cream Man, is a short film about the German invasion of Amsterdam and about Ernst Cahn played by Noah Emmerich and his wife was played by Gretchen Hall. Freddy Arsenault and Imogen Hall also had supporting role. It was short listed for an Oscars for 2025. 

During the filming of “The Curse of Mannin Manor”, I was the Costume Designer, wardrobe and on-set costumer. The film was written and directed by Romeo Martinez and appeared in the  McDonough Storytellers Film Festival.

I worked in the wardrobe department for the movie “Seniors” starring John Rhys-Davies, Paris Brosnan and Bethany Anne Lind where Lisa Smedley-Calderon was the Costume Designer. 

I am Hopper’s tailor. He is the frog mascot for Merchants Bank of Indiana. I made his track suit and football uniform for TV commercials and was the on-set Costumer.

Daren has always loved clothes. She brings her textile artistic creativity to the set while assisting costume designers and making sure the wardrobe is in excellent shape for the camera on set. Daren is always reliable and completes tasks and can react positively to any task at hand. Daren alters and fits the actors and helps dress them to go onto the set. She is an asset to any set for consistent filming with the costumes and wardrobe. 

She has been a tailor and seamstress since the 80's for men and women's clothing. And she has been a textile artist since 2005 where she hand-dyes and paints fabrics for her large scale art quilts. She is available to work anywhere in the world. Daren lives in Indiana.
